My Journey to Next Chapter Coaching
My path to Next Chapter Coaching began quite unexpectedly, right when the world seemed to pause during the pandemic. I had just been laid off from my job as a People Operations Manager, and like many, I found myself navigating uncharted waters.

It was during this time that I connected deeply with my neighbor, a remarkable 79 year old, whose entire life was shifting. She was questioning her sexuality, preparing to move to a new community after two decades in her current community, and facing profound changes. As I supported her, our conversations evolved into a beautiful blend of coaching and home organizing – something I affectionately started calling "Next Chapter work." First, we dove deep into her desires: why she wanted this next part of her life to look and feel a certain way, and what that truly meant for her. Then, we thoughtfully went through her belongings, deciding what to keep based on her priorities, lovingly letting go of what no longer served her, and finding meaningful ways to give things away, whether to family or to raise money for a specific charity.
The result= Joining a lesbian social club, starting a new relationship 3 months after moving, and having a great time designing a new home environment that matched who she is now instead of who she was decades ago!

That transformative experience ignited a passion in me, and I’ve been dedicated to working with folks in their fourth quarter of life ever since, for the past five and a half years. It's truly a privilege to witness the incredible shifts that happen when people embrace their next chapter.
My Philosophy: You're Always Becoming
I believe it's a false story that as people age they get "set in their ways" or are unwilling to change. The truth is, we are always learning, changing, and growing. This stage of life is an amazing time to leverage all the knowledge and experiences you've gathered and combine that with the innate need to seek joy and fulfillment. You've cultivated a seasoned approach to life, and that's an incredible foundation for your next big adventure.

My Approach & What I Bring
In our coaching relationship, I bring a unique blend of gentle, empowering, and nurturing presence. I love looking at things holistically, helping you connect the dots in your life that might not have been obvious before. You'll find me to be an amazing reflector of your inner strengths, helping you rediscover parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way. I'm also here to support you in facing any challenges and limiting beliefs that might arise, always cheering you on.

I’ll help you break down big goals into bite-sized chunks, making change and growth feel more palatable and easier to digest. And yes, I have a sense of humor! I can walk that fine line of well-placed levity, even in the midst of a heavy topic, to show a little light in the darkness and remind us that joy is an available ally on the journey.

My professional background includes five and a half years of direct work with seniors, a death doula course (which offers a deep understanding of the existential questions that naturally arise in later life), and completing professional coaching courses through CTI (Coaches Training Institute), Tara Mohr's "Playing It Big," and currently Martha Beck's Wayfinder Life Coach Certification.
This blend of practical experience and formal training allows me to guide you with both expertise and heart.
